Guided Coverage Interview

Use this when the user needs a fuller path than a quick question. It is designed for Medicaid, Essential Plan, Child Health Plus, QHP, NYC Care, current-plan comparison, employer/COBRA, Medicare routing, small business, and mixed-household paths.

Question logic sources

The flow uses official program concepts: household, expected income, county, renewal/deadline, current coverage, employer/COBRA, children under 19, NYC Care routing, doctors/prescriptions, and plan costs.

Guided-intake lesson adapted

CoveredNYC now tracks required answers, progress, missing critical information, likely paths, review flags, and safe next steps before release.

Compliance guardrail

The flow identifies likely paths to check. It does not decide official eligibility, guarantee a superior plan, or provide final plan advice without licensed/certified broker review.

Privacy note: Keep medical history, Social Security numbers, immigration document numbers, and full medical records out of the first intake unless a qualified professional specifically requests them. A policy/SBC, premium bill, renewal notice, and basic household/income facts are usually enough to start.
